After several days of planning and filming, it was finally time to edit. When creating our storyboard I made little notes on things we should add during the editing process to better our music video. To make the music video look high definition we use the cinematic setting of the iPhone 13. All clips and takes shot were sent to our designated editor Jacob. At first, I reviewed each take we go to see which would look best in our music video. Keeping in mind the concept of our music video is to be having a good day we deleted all takes that looked inauthentic. The scenes I shot without the actions knowledge were very useful since they appeared more genuine. It was time to upload each scene into iMovies to finally start the editing process. IMovie is a user-friendly software great for beginner editors who are still finding their way. They have information portals to learn how to do several editing tasks on their software. Their cooperation with apple products allows an easy transfer of clips and media through devices. On their software, they have various editing options for transitions, sounds, cuts, even appearance changes. Today's goal was to finish editing about half of the music video. The first thing I suggested when editing is to cut each video to meet the assigned time limit. Although cutting the video also helped with smoothly connecting each clip. While Jacob was working on editing I helped convert the “ Good Days” song into an mp3 track to later submit into iMovie. This editing software quickly imports the soundtrack and doesn’t distort it in any way. Decisions made for the editing process were consulted by the rest of the group to get group approval. We will continue the editing process another day. Today was useful to start the basic editing after seeing what progress made I would take the night to come up with ideas. I took this role since I filmed I had prepared visions of the final product. My visions will be used throughout the editing process to get our final result.
