Final Task

 Here is my film. I am so grateful for this experience!

Its Coming to an End

 Overall my experience during this film was amazing. I chose this class spontaneously and it was a great choice to make. I will never forget this decision and will always treasure it. I have created memories established new friendships, and learned more about media. Media is a new learning topic for me and it has built new interests. I can analyze films and recognize different camera angles or movements while watching media. Distinguishing the representation is a new challenge for me and it pleases me to recognize the purpose of each change in a film. It adds to the effect of the film and creates scenery for the audience to follow. Not only that the filmmaker you can design what exactly is in the film. You can control the purpose, audience, and organization of the film. If this film was actually published for revenue organizing the movie's distribution and marketing strategies. Although I will not get to experience this it's nice to establish different ways of promoting a film. As the last film assignment, my knowledge has greatly increased. I plan on following the path of media studies and continuing my learning. My experience while taking this course has been memorable and led to makes to take the higher-level course. I aspire to see the year's difference as I become a stronger editor, filmer, and writer. Media studies is a great course to take and I will forever recommend this class. As it is the last piece of media I will be producing for this school year it's nice to reminisce on past projects. Sadly it is all coming to an end. :(

A Time for Change

After reviewing our film we have established some changes to be made. We reviewed our film several times to see it from different aspects. We looked at it various times for users to get every mistake. We notice a lack of sound or music in film. Furthermore, there were clips that needed to be cut or muted. I brought this up to our editor since they had the film prepared on the editing software. Those changes were made and some scenes were shortened. These clips were shortened due to the sidebar conversations between actors after the scene was taken. It looked unprofessional so it was immediately brought to my attention.  The software we used was Imovie. Imovie is an editing software made by apple. It can edit long videos and exemplify the quality of a clip. It can incorporate added texts and effects to a video. It has several transition options that can be used. We incorporated the soundtracks from the several crime/thriller music. I used the same music we researched for when looking at our music. We added diegetic sounds like rustling and footsteps. This is to match what was said in our storyboard. Although changes in our film it is essential to keep our film as authentic as possible. We acknowledge that there are certain aspects of the film that we cannot change due to our lack of skills. However, we know there is room for improvement and our skills have developed greatly.

Adding A Special Touch

There are many effects that can change a film. It adds to the impact of the film. There are several types of props used in the film. Although its purpose changes based on the genre a prop has universal use. A prop is an object used on stage to aid the film. In our thriller film, we reviewed what would be best in our film. We looked over the possibility of using props or costumes. That's exactly what we did!  For our film, we had our actors dress up in workout clothes to follow the plot of the film. However, our "stalker", Willow,  dressed up in dark clothing to appear hidden. They wore headphones to appear like a normal jogger listening to music. Other props we used were phones for the ending scene. We didn't use many props due to their lack of placement. Any extra plots wouldn't fit with the plot of the film.  Furthermore, the lack of props emphasizes the props we actually use in the film currently. It shows that the props that are used are important. Overall the props of the film definitely added to the film overall. Incorporating several Mis-En-Scen was very impactful to the film. The prop distribution and costumes in film were perfectly balanced and positively affected the film. It was a great day of media today!

Film Review

After our hard work and determination, we are almost there. After repeated editing and filming process we were closer to the finished project. Our ideas flowed and we had great collaboration skills. This allowed our communication to be top-tier, one of the many traits of a successful team. Despite our best efforts of working together there are moments when we cannot all meet. Considering this obstacle we often contact each other using different social platforms to communicate electronically. This was something we did often during the editing process. Since only one member had access to what we filmed that person edited. Our first draft of the film was very unsatisfactory. Some of the transitions used were tacky and didn't look like our best work. This is something we noticed when watching this. In addition, the music I suggested for the film was implemented and the diegetic sound was never added. I will try re-editing the film to provide a second draft. This is to ensure a cleaner film. There are still alterations needed to be made. Despite the alterations of our film staying in the genre is our topic priority. The music is essential to represent the tone and feeling a thriller film brings. Its very important that our film is important and authentic. as a team, we are constantly improving. Noticing little mistakes like this is why our skills have gotten strong. We make a great team!
